Layla

Photo taken by Rene Hogarth of Safety Harbor, owner of " Layla " our 11 month old female tabby Layla.
Layla was a rescue kitten from a feral colony and now fully tame and comes running when I call her name. Her favorite sports are shown in the images.

Watching the Mourning Dove come to the bird bath as she tries to chat to them in her own feline way. Very amusing to see.
This image is Layla climbing inside the dishwasher whenever she gets the
chance for a closer inspection. She has not quite figured out why the
dishes go in there every day.
Princess
Friday, 15 August 2008
Your last paper asked for readers to send in photos of kitties in unusual places. It was wash day at my home and I set up the drying rack for some throw rugs to dry. I didn't care if it took a week for them to dry. The entire contraption was out on my screened porch. I almost burst out laughing when I later walked onto the porch and found Princess Diana perched on top. A hammock? The Princess on her throne?
Princess Diana in her very own hammock. July 1st was her one year celebration of her birth. She and her brother, Prince William, were rescued by me after being "dumped" in Anderson Park in Tarpon Springs. Thank heaven two homeless men saw the man & woman dump them and drive away. Special angels were watching over her and her brother!!!

Punky a special laid back cat, that follows us everywhere we go, we were admiring our beautiful plantings along the CSX railroad, just a couple blocks south of Main Street, and spotted Punky laying on the tracks, he's a railway cat!
Enjoy the image!
Thank you,

Clearwater Under The Oaks Show Calls For Crafters
Friday, 15 August 2008
The GFWC Clearwater Junior Woman’s Club, Inc. is searching for crafters for its 31st annual arts and crafts show, Christmas Under the Oaks. This year’s event will be held Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 15-16, 2008 in Clearwater’s downtown Coachman Park.
The club is seeking crafters who ‘hand-make’ original crafts. No mass-produced manufactured items are allowed. A new option this year is that crafters have the option of participating in both show days or only one day. However, spaces are limited for one day participation.
For more information, contact Carolyn Waidley, publicity chair for Christmas Under the Oaks 2008, via email at
