Caladesi Chapter DAR Meeting: Mon., Feb. 16 |

Caladesi Chapter,
National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), will hold its next
meeting on Monday, February 16, at 12:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church,
455 Scotland Street, Dunedin.
Tim
Mitchell will be speaking on health issues. At a recent meeting, Carolyn Allen,
pictured, portrayed as Betty Lewis, niece of George Washington, read a
letter Lewis had written about Christmas at Mount Vernon.
Members of Caladesi
Chapter are present at the Dunedin Public Library every Thursday 1:00-3:00 PM to
give free assistance to people with their genealogy.
Any woman 18 years or older, who can
prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to
become a member.

preservation of herbs for use in Culinary, Medicinal, and Decorative Purposes.

Willow LaMonte of WILLOW HERBAL DELIGHT GARDENS!
Willow will talk about organic gardening with herbs.
Refreshments and Herbal Swaps will be between 6: 30 and 7:00pm Visitors are very

The Florida West Coast Orchid Society will hold their monthly meeting, on the second Thursday of the month, February 12th, at 7:30pm at the Pinellas County Cooperative Extension (Botanical Gardens), 12175 125th St. N, Largo,
An educational class will be held at 7:00pm, with a short meeting at 7:30pm followed by our featured speaker.
An orchid sale, raffle, and refreshments follow.

Free Equipment for the Hearing Impaired: FTRI will be at Safety Harbor City Hall, 750 Main Street, Thursday, February 26, 2009 from 1:00-3:00 pm for telephone distribution. The Deaf and Hearing Connection of Tampa Bay loans free equipment to qualified Florida residents who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired for as long as needed.
