American Stage Theatre Company of St. Petersburg, Florida (AEA-SPT) is holding auditions for its American Stage in the Park production of ALTAR BOYZ on Monday, February 2, at 1 p.m.

Auditions will be held at American Stage Theatre Company, located at 211 3rd Street South. Actors do not need to schedule to audition.

Casting is for the roles of Luke and Juan.

First rehearsal is Tuesday, March 24 or March 31, previews April 15 and 16, opening Friday, April 17, running Wednesday thru Sunday nights until Sunday, May 10.

Both roles are “Triple threats” - must sing, dance (pop) and act well:

ALTAR BOYZ is the off-Broadway phenomenon about five young men and their hilarious struggles in a Christian boy band. The action follows Matthew, Mark, Luke, Juan, and Abraham (the unsure, Jewish fifth member) as they stop in St. Petersburg as part of their climactic concert tour. An explosive mixture of modernism, irony, and energetic singing and dancing makes ALTAR BOYZ your ticket to one of the most exciting and funny theatre shows of the year.
