Gulf Coast Museum of Art Announces Free Admission E-mail
Tuesday, 01 July 2008

During these hard economic times, the Gulf Coast Museum of Art understands that families are being forced to make difficult choices with their money. Sometimes these choices involve the elimination of cultural and entertainment outings, in lieu of food, healthcare or gas.

As a way to make some of these choices easier, the GCMA has announced it will offer free admission to its galleries during the month of July. During this period, visitors will be able to browse the current exhibition and permanent collection galleries, stroll through the sculpture gardens and stay for a blockbuster movie in the museum theater, all for free. With the Florida Botanical Gardens and Heritage Village only a few steps away, the trip can become a fun-filled day with the family at no cost. So stop choosing between gas or entertainment and visit the museum during the month of July.

Scheduled movies include: “A Night at the Museum” (PG) July 15-20; “National Treasure” (PG) July 22-27; and, “A Mid Summer Night’s Dream” (PG13) July 29-Aug. 3.
