John Stephen Hussar, 55, Safety Harbor,
died September 5, 2007 at Hospice House in Pinellas Park. He was
born October 6, 1951, in New Kensington, PA, to William Joseph
Hussar and Ann Mancinotti Hussar. His father died September 1,
2001. His mother resides at Aston Gardens in Tampa. A 1974 graduate
of the University of South Florida in Tampa, he was a life member
of the University of South Florida Alumni Association and was
honored with an engraved brick at the Alumni Center. Since
graduation in 1974, he worked as a CPA and Manager with Harper Van
Scoik and Company, Clearwater and was a mentor for many new
employees in the accounting profession. He was a member of the
Florida Association of Certified Public Accountants and the
American Association of Certified Public Accountants. He attended
Heritage United Methodist Church in Clearwater and served as
treasurer of the Huntington Isles Homeowners Association for eight
years. He also was a referee and coach with the Countryside Youth
Soccer Association, where his sons Jonathan and Joey played soccer
for many years. He loved automobile racing and especially his
yellow Corvette Z06. He was a member of Kiwanis Club of Springtime
City for 25 years and served as the 2006-2007 president. He also
was a huge supporter of the GFWC North Pinellas Woman's Club, Inc.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Jane Johnson Hussar; sons,
Jonathan Berne, 25, and Joseph Richard, 23; mother, Anne Mancinotti
Hussar; and mother-in-law, Bernita Parker Johnson.
Effie D. Crump, 57, Safety Harbor, died
September 9, 2007 at Consulate Health Care of Safety Harbor. She
was born in Clearwater and was a lifelong resident of Safety
Harbor. She worked for Best Western, Clearwater, in housekeeping.
She was a member of Emanuel Tabernacle Baptist Church Apostolic
Faith, Safety Harbor. Survivors include her husband, James W.;
daughters, Stacey Crump and Connie Hill; brothers, Paul D., Bennie
and Dennis Herring; sisters, Beatrice Hart, Yvonne Hedgeman, Mary
Upshur, Earline Adams; and four grandchildren.
Doris Lynn Green, Safety Harbor, died
September 9, 2007 at Hospice House Woodside. She is survived by her
loving family.
Rosemary E. Lentz, 78, Safety Harbor, died
September 11, 2007 at Stratford Court of Palm Harbor. She was born
in Port Huron, MI, and came here in 1990 from Rockville, MD. She
worked as a payroll clerk for the National Institute of Health
Medical Library. She was a member of the Elks and was Catholic. She
is survived by two sons, Ken and Joe Hynes, and two daughters, Dede
Cola, and Terry Phillips; and, three grandchildren, Cristi and Tony
Cola and Samatha Hynes.
Linda Anne Fairman, 49, Safety Harbor,
died September 13, 2007 at Mease Morton Plant Hospital in Safety
Harbor. She was born in Wexford, PA, in 1958, and came to Florida
in 1979. She worked as an educator through the years at Safety
Harbor Elementary and most recently at Safety Harbor Middle, and
was also a health care courier for Premier Courier Services. She
enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, painting and had a love for
music. She was a humanitarian and a friend to all, and was very
active in the community of Safety Harbor. Her survivors include her
husband, David Fairman; mother, Veronica Stante; daughter, Amanda
Fairman; 2 uncles, Charles (Helen) Zagorski, Joseph
(Dorothy)Zagorski; sister in law Leigh (Robbie) Lunt; and brother
in law Russ (Sable) Fairman, mother in law, Rita Fairman.
Nellie Irene Trowell, 77, of Clearwater,
died September 15, 2007 at home. She was predeceased by her husband
of more than 50 years, Joe Trowell. She is survived by her sister,
Frances B. Davis of Albany, GA; her daughter, Tracey Trowell,
Safety Harbor; son Joe Trowell and his wife of Holiday; grandson
Tyler Trowell and his wife, three great grandchildren; two
step-great grandsons; two step-grandsons; several nieces and
nephews.
Helen M. Wunsch, 86, Safety Harbor, died
September 15, 2007 at home with her family by her side. A 25-year
resident of Safety Harbor, she was born in Buffalo, NY and moved
here from Penfield, NY with her husband Larry. She volunteered at
Mease Hospital for 13 years, and was a member of Espiritu Santo
Catholic Church. She is survived by two sons, Vern (Nancy) of
Seminole, Ray (Sandy) of Oldsmar, numerous loving nephews, nieces
and friends.
Sue Cokrlic, 86, Safety Harbor, died
September 17, 2007 at Palm Gardens in Clearwater. She was born July
6, 1921 to Marko and Milka Tepsic in Slovan, PA. She moved to
Safety Harbor from Baden, PA to reside with her daughter, Marie,
and son-in-law John Padavich in 1989. Her husband, Peter Cokrlic
preceded her in death in July 1989. She is survived by her daughter
and son-in-law Marie and John Padavich, her son and daughter-in-law
Peter and Elia Cokrlic of San Diego, CA, her grandson and his wife,
Jason and Kristin Padavich, San Mateo, CA, her granddaughter and
her husband, Sheila and Stephan Birtsas, Los Angeles, CA and her
grandson, Erik Cokrlic, Boca Raton, FL. Of her siblings, she is
survived by her brothers, Joseph Tepsic, Tyrone, PA and Nicholas
Tepsic, O'Brien, FL. She is preceded in death by her sisters,
Melissa Evans, Alice Ulicney, Katherine Latella, and Helen
Romanetti, and her brothers, Charles Tepsic, Steve Tepsic, and Rudy
Tepsic. She loved her family and her puppy, Gypsy.
Herbert J. Klomfahs, 83, Safety Harbor,
died September 20, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Magdelena, and
stepdaughter, Rosie.
Jean Valles, 59, Safety Harbor, died
September 22, 2007 at Comprehensive Healthcare, Clearwater.
Dolores Mae " Aunt Punkie" Fontana, 78,
Safety Harbor, died September 23, 2007 at home. She was a homemaker
and loving wife of 47 years to her husband, Frank; mother of
Richard, Steven, David, Robert and Dawn; sister of Richard Thacker;
grandmother of Christopher, Justin, Sean, William, Michael, Angie,
and Patrick; and survived by several great grandchildren, nieces
and nephews.
