Avoid hectic holiday shopping at your
local mall by purchasing "purrfect" gifts for your four-legged
friends at the SPCA store in Largo. The Holiday
Pet Present Sale will be held every weekend in November
and December during normal hours of operation, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Fri.-Sat. and noon-5 p.m. Sun., located in the
SPCA adoption office and pet supply store. Items will be
discounted from 20%-50%.
"Our prices are comparable if not less
than many of the larger retail pet stores and all of the
proceeds go to the animals at the SPCA," said Connie
Brooks, the SPCA director of operations. "The best part is the
proceeds from our store go to help homeless and abused animals,"
she added.
"The adoption and pet supply gift
certificates are a great gift to give to someone who has been
thinking about adopting a pet and current pet owners who want to
take advantage of some great deals on pet supplies," said Beth
Lockwood, executive director at the SPCA. "Pet ownership is a big
responsibility and should be a personal choice. We feel pet owners
should be able to select the animal that they will adopt. Our gift
certificates give family and friends a way to give love for
life this holiday season."
Help those four-legged friends who cannot
help themselves this holiday season. SPCA Tampa Bay also is in need
of donations of dry dog food by Iams® as well as canned cat
food, dog toys, blankets, towels, stainless steel food bowls,
crates and kitty litter for animals waiting for adoption. SPCA
