Reader: City Signs Deface Fountain |

To the Editor:
Who on Earth thought up the bright idea of
defacing the half million dollar fountain near the marina with
three green and white signs affixed to the rocks below the birds'
outstretched wings?
If the city had to remind people to not
swim or place pets into the fountain the signs could have been
placed along the top concrete of the seating area. To deface this
beautiful sculpture is blatant vandalism and must be rectified
immediately.
Citizens must speak out.
