The Don Vista Cultural Art Center is
hosting the Florida Artist Group's 2007 annual show for area 4,
one of seven FLAG regions statewide. Artists included in this show
are Brooke Allison, Margaret Cornish DeBarba, Shirley Frank, Jean
Grastorf, Marjorie Greene, Taylor Ikin, Jeri Johnson, Melissa
Miller Nece, Roberta Schofield, Rebecca Skelton, Sonia Ann Smith,
Rhoda Tritschler, Kas Turner, Cheryl Anne Day-Swallow. Special
guests from other areas will include Ahlin, Barre Barrett and Mindy
Colton.
The Florida Artist Group (FLAG) is the
longest continuous artists' organization in the state's
history.
Incorporated in 1949 as a non-profit
organization for accomplished practicing artists, the group focuses
on one show a year, moving to a different Florida city each year.
The members are juried into the group by consideration of a
portfolio of current work combined with a resume demonstrating
national or state recognition. The goal is to choose artists' work
that will contribute significantly to the excellence of the exhibit
and to encourage these artists to continue honing their creative
talents.

The Don Vista Cultural Art Center gallery
