Tuesday, 01 January 2008

The Tampa Bay Builders Association is accepting entries for its 12th annual “Draw Your Dream Home” children’s art contest in conjunction with its 2008 Parade of Homes, scheduled Mar. 1-16.

The competition is open to children from kindergarten to fifth grade living in Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties, said association president Peggy Templeton, president of Templeton Development. Entries will be accepted until Feb. 4. The official entry form can be downloaded at www.tbba.net.

There are three judging categories: Kindergarten and first grade, second and third grades, fourth and fifth grades. Each category will have a first-, second- and third-place winner. Top entries in each age group will receive U.S. Savings Bonds ranging from $200 to $500. Judging will be based on overall visual appeal, concept, best use of medium, and artistic skill relative to the child’s age. No pencil drawings will be accepted.

Entries should be sent to Krista Kluding at the Tampa Bay Builders Association, 2918 W. Kennedy Blvd., Suite 201, Tampa, FL 33609.
