Normajeanne Anderson has been named Chamber Administrator for the Safety Harbor Chamber of Commerce.
A resident of Indian Rocks Beach, Anderson joined the Chamber in late November and first began to meet members during that month’s 3rd Friday event.
“It’s such a pleasure to be associated with the Safety Harbor Chamber of Commerce,” Anderson said. “This charming town has blossomed forth over the recent years and has become a “destination” location for many people who appreciate the ambiance of Old Florida and the convenience of being able to walk through downtown to shop in boutiques, find the creative menus in little restaurants and take a break at the signature Gazebo.
Anderson said her background covers a varied geographic area, as well as career activities.
“Born in Anderson, SC, I’ve lived in Louisville, KY, Ft. Smith, AR, Clearwater, Bloomfield Hills, MI, and now Indian Rocks Beach,” she said. “I’ve been a fashion show coordinator, emcee, cosmetics rep, real estate agent involved in development and management, partner in an airplane banner towing company, copy writer, disc jockey, radio station sales manager, “Beach Life” magazine marketing director and, most recently, public relations, which included producing the annual Matthew Hall Memorial Golf Tournament for Charity for five years.”
Anderson said her great joy is “meeting people and hopefully sharing ideas on enhancing their participation in the Safety Harbor Chamber of Commerce, thereby growing their business. It’s easy to promote such a friendly, vibrant community!”
