Les Slesnick: Private Spaces--The Dunedin Project, new series chronicling the lives and homes of small-town America by award-winning photographer Les Slesnick. Third town in the series and first in Florida. Also featuring: "James Perry Walker: The Preacher and His Congregation," 55 photographs dating from 1976 to 1994; and, "Photo-Synthesis: DFAC Photographers," works by DFAC faculty and students. "The Artist as Inventor" exhibition also will be featured in teaching tours and continues in the Children's Hands-On Museum through August. "The Highwaymen," two exhibitions of works by Florida's famed African American artists, including the premiere of the George Algernon Speer Jr. Collection and a traveling exhibition from the Orange County Regional History Center. Also, through Feb. 24, "Quilters Crossing of Palm Harbor 2008 Challenge -- a Tribute to Florida in Fabric," an exhibition in the auditorium of quilts created as a complement to the Highwaymen exhibition. A Blessing To One Another: Pope John Paul II & the Jewish People, an interactive exhibition that allows visitors to follow John Paul II's footsteps from his childhood to his role as head of the world's largest church, including his historic visit to Israel.
