Angeline "Angie" (Rogal) Slisz Jerz, 82,
died December 27, 2007 at home. Originally from Chicago, she moved
to Florida in 1985. She is survived by five children: Marguerite
Rogal, Chicago; Thomas Rogal, Tucson, AZ; Terri Rogal, Dunedin;
Christopher (Francie) Rogal, Safety Harbor; and Deidre (Tom) Drane,
Clearwater; five grandchildren: Kristina and Michael Rogal, Safety
Harbor; Desiree Baker, Clearwater; and Kyle Rogal and Cory Veihl,
Johns Creek, GA; and her cousin, Manja Narrett, Chicago.
Elizabeth Moseley, 82, Safety Harbor, died
January 9, 2008, at Mease Countryside hospital.
Bernice F. Albert, 97, Safety Harbor, died
January 10, 2008, at Bon Secours Maria Manor, St. Petersburg. She
was born December 23, 1910. Her husband preceded her in death. As a
small child, she had polio, but with the care and support of her
teacher she recovered and played on her high school basketball team
and became a strong swimmer. Adventure and love of seashells made
her an expert on Indo-Pacific shells. She was fascinated with
cleaning, identifying and cataloguing shells. Translating the
common names correctly to their scientific names was a challenge.
Her collection includes over 50,000 shells. She donated her
collection to U.C. Santa Barbara. Some specimens are in the
Smithsonian and the Philadelphia Museum of Natural History. She is
survived by her eldest son, Ernest L Albert, and his spouse Annie;
grandsons Ernest R Albert (Rick), Carl E. Albert and Samuel L.
Albert, sons of Ernest. Daughter-in-law Eiko Albert, widowed wife
of Richard M. Albert, and her son Robbie Albert.
Gilbert E. Headley, III, 33, New Port
Richey, formerly of Pinellas Park, died January 10, 2008 after a
short battle with pneumococcal pneumonia. Born December 3, 1974 and
raised in Pinellas Park, he was a graduate of Pinellas Park High
School. He went on to become the owner of Kyler Construction. He is
survived by his 3-year-old son, Kyler; the love of his life, Rita,
and her 13-year-old daughter, Alexandrea; his mother, Susan
Andrews, Safety Harbor; his grandmother, Jane Morgan; four sisters,
Debbie Gallagher, Kim Singer, Michelle Longboat and Trish Hawks; a
brother, William Beam; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Robert LaCombe, 64, Safety Harbor, died
January 10, 2008 at Town & Country hospital, Tampa. He lived in
Safety Harbor for 33 years. He is survived by his mother, Rita
Saia, Hudson, MA; his wife of 40 years, Debbie LaCombe; his
daughters, Lynne Burns, Tampa, Tammie Nielson, Safety Harbor,
Christina LaCombe, N. Grafton, MA; and his six grandchildren,
Tiffany Cunneen, Zephyrhills; Brandie, Bruce and Brett Nielson,
Safety Harbor, Damase Birkmaier, Safety Harbor, and Harley LaCombe,
N. Grafton, MA.
Ludis A. Salins, 89, Safety Harbor, died
January 10, 2008 at his home. He was an accountant and member of
the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Congregation of St.
Petersburg.
Mansuel Union, 53, Safety Harbor, died
January 10, 2008. He was born in Clearwater, later moving to Safety
Harbor. He served in the U.S. Navy. He attended Bethlehem MB
Church, Safety Harbor. He is survived by his daughter, Tanyika;
mother, Lula; two brothers, Leo Jr. and Johnny; a sister, Nadine;
and two grandchildren.
Alice Elizabeth "Bette" Schild, Safety
Harbor, died January 14, 2008, at Countryside Mease Hospital. She
is survived by her husband of more than 60 years, Robert E. (Bob);
a daughter, Alys (Harper) Dimitriadis and her husband, Demetri,
Safety Harbor; two granddaughters, Alys Herron, Safety Harbor,
Michelle Moyes and her husband, Chris, Lutz; a
great-grand-daughter, Sasha Faucette; and many close friends.
Carolyn V. Miller, 76, Safety Harbor, died
January 19, 2008.
