Two New Members Elected To St. Pete Pier Aquarium Board |

Lou Kavouras, Deputy Executive Director, Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) and Sheila M. McDevitt, a legal and business consultant, have joined The Pier Aquarium’s Board of Directors.

Kavouras has been deputy executive director leading the Outreach,
Planning and Board Services functions of SWFWMD since 2006 and is
responsible for the District’s long-term conservation goals and polices
and managing the activities of the Governing and Basin Boards.
|
McDevitt, a recognized authority on business ethics, compliance and corporate governance is a former senior vice president/general counsel and chief legal officer at TECO Energy, Inc.
She joined TECO in 1981 working in various governmental affairs and
legal positions and created the first legal department at the
108-year-old company. |
The Pier Aquarium, established in 1988, is a private, non-profit aquarium and marine education center located in downtown St. Petersburg at The Pier. More than 200,000 visitors come to The Pier Aquarium annually.
