Author Michael Darling Elected President Of Tampa Writer’s Alliance |

Local author Michael Darling has been on his own campaign trail. The votes are in and he is celebrating his election as president of the Tampa Writer’s Alliance. Author of the sci-fi adventure, Hoplite Renegades, Darling said he is looking forward to a very successful year for the Tampa Writer’s Alliance and all of its members.
The Tampa Writer’s Alliance holds monthly meetings at the John Germany library in downtown Tampa and often features successful local authors as well as resources for writers. The group also attends the St. Pete Times Festival of writing, holds contests for its members and publishes an annual anthology of its members’ works.
Darling has loved science fiction since the fateful day in the 1970s when he watched Star Wars on the big screen. He is working towards becoming a full-time author and is currently working on a sequel to Hoplite Renegades, a short story and a separate full-length sci-fi action adventure.
