To the Editor:
Greetings from Melbourne, Australia. I have two things for you from our World Maiden Voyage on Cunard’s “Queen Victoria.” We were sailing from Melbourne last night (Feb. 21) heading for Sydney. The city gave us a great send off complete with fireworks. While waiting on deck for the fireworks to begin, I noticed a sign for “the drink of the day.”
Also I thought you might like the following elevator chat.
American couple enters Queen Victoria elevator:
David: Hello.
Couple: Hello.
David: You sound American. Where are you from?
Couple: Florida.
David: Me too. Where in Florida?
Couple: Homosassa Springs.
David: Safety Harbor,
Couple: We used to live in Safety Harbor.
David: Where?
Couple: Enterprise, which used to be called CR 102.
David: I have coffee every morning at Einstein’s on Enterprise.
Couple: We used to do the same!
Sorry I did not get their names, but it is a remarkably small world.
