Parasailing was one of the high points of Safety Harbor residents Jim and Sylvia O’Neill’s family Christmas vacation. Jim, daughter Sharon O’Neill and Jim’s sister Pat Loretto, went parasailing in Mexico over the Christmas holidays. It was their first experience and was very exciting, Jim O’Neill said.
Right, they are shown with the Tropical Breeze just prior to embarking on their flights above the beautiful waters of Cozumel harbor.
Accompanying the O’Neills were daughter Karen Davis, her husband P. J. and son A. J., as well as Pat’s husband Bob and Sylvia’s brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Jean Penzato.
Sailing on the Carnival Ship “Inspiration” from Tampa, they enjoyed the wonderful food as well as a full day of fun on the ship, O’Neill said.
One of the high points aboard the ship was the family experiencing and enjoying High Tea.
This was followed by a full day in Mexico where they enjoyed the many educational opportunities offered by the Mexican culture as well as the great shopping during the remainder of the day.
Their return trip provided them with another full day of relaxation and a chance to compare the experiences they had. This was the first time the entire family has vacationed like this and all said that they were looking forward to doing it again in the future.
