Saturday, 01 March 2008

Following rave reviews from the graduating class of the 2007 Citizens Academy, the City of Oldsmar is offering another Citizens’ Academy starting Thursday, April 3. Class size is limited to 25 and deadline for registration is Friday, Mar. 21.

The eight-session Citizens’ Academy is free and open to Oldsmar residents 16 years and older. The group meets weekly for two hour sessions to expose residents to the inner workings, services and management of the city.

For more information or to register, call City Clerk Lisa Lene at 813-749-1115.

Similar classes to prepare residents for more community involvement and promote understanding of local government services and issues also are offered by Safety Harbor, Clearwater and other local municipalities.
