Joe Doyle, 73, Safety Harbor, died March
25, 2008 at home. He is survived by a daughter, Kathy Lowe; a son,
Patrick (Pam); and five grandchildren, Kevin, Brandon, Travis,
Tyler and Katie.
Elizabeth Laccabue Conner, 94, Safety
Harbor, died March 30, 2008. She moved here from Chicago in 1999.
She loved to bake bread to share, work in the garden, tell stories
and be with her family. She is survived by her children, Richard
and wife MaryAnne, Lawrence Laccabue and Vicki Ryan; a brother,
Steve Rapinac; a sister, Sally Lopian; five grandchildren, Michael,
Debra Dyer, Matthew, Laura and Brad Laccabue; six
great-grandchildren; and, many nieces and nephews.
Phyllis Jean Cashon, 84, died April 2,
2008, in Dunedin. She was born July 2, 1923, to Helen and Harry
Grindle of Canfield, OH. She was married for 64 years to John R.
Cashon Jr. They were members of the First Presbyterian church of
Canfield, OH and Springlake in Sebring, FL. She was a member of
both choirs. She is survived by her children, Linda Carlile, Jim
Cashon and Deborah Klein of Safety Harbor; her sister, Vera Davis;
five granddaughters, Rene Carlile, Lisa Powers, Tracy Cashon,
Kristin Klein and Leigh Leonard; and, two great-grandchildren,
Stephanie and Zackary Powers.
Larry Hyker, 66, Safety Harbor, died April
16, 2008 at home. He was born June 14, 1941 in Cleveland, OH and
moved to Florida in 1954. He was employed as a boat mechanic. He
was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit and the
Masonic Lodge of Safety Harbor. Survivors include his wife of 49
years, Ollie; a son, Kenny; three daughters, Patty Baily, Tracy
Wilson and Dawn Lucas; a sister, Betty Brennan; five grandchildren;
and, one great-grandchild.
Polly Rusch, 89, Safety Harbor, died April
20, 2008. She is survived by four sons; five daughters-in-law; 11
grandchildren; and, 12 great-grandchildren.
Virginia Lee Spoor, 88, died April 24,
2008 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, St. Petersburg. She was past
President of St. Anthony's Hospital Auxiliary and served as
Hospitality Chairwoman at The Allegro at College Harbor. She
devoted much of her time to various Catholic charities. She is
survived by Gordon, her husband of 65 years; her four children,
Patricia (Charles) Stumb Jr., Peggy (Mike Hopkinson) Spoor, Dody
(Lee) Duve, F. Gordon (Christine) Spoor; eight grandchildren, Mary
Beth (Eric) Hall, Charles E. (Cleamuda) Stumb III, Gretchen Anne,
Clearwater, Thomas G., Clearwater, W. Gordon (Tiffiny) Spoor II,
Matthew L. (Laurie) Spoor, James Russell (Amy) Spoor, Danielle
Marie Spoor; eight great-grandchildren, Anna, Julia, Lilly, Jack,
Emma, Haley, Jesse, F. Gordon Spoor III (Tripp); a brother, Thomas
C. (Barbara) Megargle; and many friends.
Lucien P. Boutin, 70, Safety Harbor, died
April 28, 2008. He was born in Putnam, CT and moved to this area in
1988 from Voluntown, CT. He was a retired electronic technician who
enjoyed flying and music. He had a private pilot's license and
also enjoyed flying remote control model airplanes. Lucien loved to
play guitar and sing, and most recently could be found entertaining
folks at Elfers Senior Center and Tandem Health Care in Hudson.
Lucien is survived by his wife, Maryann Boutin; and their seven
children, Lucien Boutin, Marcel Boutin, Maryann Bourassa, Robert
Boutin, Joseph Boutin, Carol Smith and Yvette Mann. He is also
survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
John E. Robertson, Safety Harbor, died
April 29, 2008. He was a longtime member of the County Golf
Association. He is survived by his mother, Helen; a sister, Ann
Fleckenstein; and two nephews, Kyle and Zachary Fleckenstein.
Evelyn F. Evans, 91, Safety Harbor, died
April 30, 2008 at Consulate Health Care of Safety Harbor. She is
survived by her loving family.
Marion Vitale, 90, Safety Harbor, died
April 30, 2008. She is survived by a son, Stephen; four
grandchildren; and, five great-grandchildren.
