Neil Brickfield, center, a Safety Harbor resident and former city commissioner, kicked off his campaign for Pinellas County Commission with a fundraiser April 30 at The Venue, a nightclub in Clearwater.
Brickfield four years ago narrowly lost in a primary race for a county commission seat, which was won by current Commission Chairman Ronnie Duncan. At left above is J.J. Beyrouti, mayor of Redington Shores, who was one of Brickfield’s opponents in that race.
The kick-off event drew many local elected officials, including Tax Collector Diane Nelson, Sheriff Jim Coats, Oldsmar Mayor Jim Ronecker, Safety Harbor Mayor Andy Steingold and City Commissioner Joseph Ayoub, County Commissioner John Morroni, Dunedin City Commissioners Dave Eggers and Julie Ward Bujalski, Pinellas School Board member Nancy Bostock and more.
