Library Foundation To Honor ‘Treasures Of The Harbor’ E-mail

Nominations are being sought to honor three individuals as “Treasures of the Harbor” in a new program sponsored by the Safety Harbor Library Foundation.

Modeled on the “Mr. & Mrs. Clearwater” program, Library Foundation members Debbie White and Linda Marshal said they hope the event will become an annual celebration of persons who have made significant contributions to the community.Recognition is to be made in three age groups — 30 and under; 31 to 60 and 60+.

A recognition banquet is planned for Thursday, Sept. 4 in the ballroom at the Safety Harbor Resort & Spa. The program is intended to be a fundraiser for the foundation. Tickets and sponsorships will be sold to the recognition dinner, which will include a live and silent auction.

Nomination forms are to be available in June at Safety Harbor City Hall and the Safety Harbor Library.
