Cadet Major Amber Stickel, who is in the Clearwater High School Marine Corps Junior ROTC program, recently was awarded the MOAA Achievement Medal and Certificate by the Clearwater Chapter of the Military Officers Association. Above (l-r): Capt. Sue Morse, Cadet Major Stickel and Major Skip Hartnett. Stickel, a junior, was nominated for the award because she is an outstanding student and citizen and possesses the discipline, confidence and the qualities required to be a solid leader, MOAA said. She plans to attend Florida State University and enter the college ROTC program.
