Philip A. Bauer, graduating 15-year-old St. Petersburg College student (holding trophy, below), is the State Champion for this year’s Math Olympics for Florida community colleges.

With him are (l-r) advisor Bill Hemme; team members Jose Lozano and Peng Yang, and Prof. ChiChang Lo.

Above, Bauer is flanked by the members of the winning team from Miami Dade College. Bauer, who attended Safety Harbor Middle School, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Honors College of SPC.

He will celebrate his 16th birthday on July 4.
