With summertime comes those afternoon rains and high grasses. When manicuring your lawn, be sure to properly dispose of grass clippings, leaves, and other vegetative debris. Lawn service providers must make sure they are not blowing clippings into the street, toward catch basins, or down storm drains.
While storm water often travels through pipes under our roads just like sewage, it is not treated at a wastewater treatment plant. Instead, storm water carries grass and leaves from lawns directly into ponds, lakes, rivers and bays.
