A trio of up and coming Tampa Bay artists return August 23 to the Painted Fish Gallery in downtown Dunedin. This three-person show has become an annual event highlighting the contemporary images and fresh perspectives of a younger generation of artists.

“Fresh Fish 2” features ceramic sculpture by Simon Boses, mixed media drawings by Christine Renc-Carter, and paintings by Noah Deledda. The exhibition continues through Sunday, Oct. 26.

Christine Renc-Carter, registrar at the Gulf Coast Museum of Art in Largo, coordinated the exhibition. She will show her new work which includes mixed media drawings and monoprints that explore mythic and sometimes light-hearted tales from the deep sea and beyond. Simon Boses, a ceramic sculptor known for his metaphorical clay figures in a personal style influenced by the cartoon, will be unveiling his most recent and highly anticipated new works. Noah Deledda, known for his unique painting style, takes a creative spin on his latest work, in which he incorporates elements of drawing and realism into his paintings.

Meet the artists at the opening reception -6-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23 with live music outdoors by Sean Delong.  Come and watch Shane Hoffman create live action paintings to be raffled off that evening, along with other great prizes and refreshments.
