Christine Renc-Carter, registrar at the Gulf Coast Museum of Art in Largo, coordinated the exhibition. She will show her new work which includes mixed media drawings and monoprints that explore mythic and sometimes light-hearted tales from the deep sea and beyond. Simon Boses, a ceramic sculptor known for his metaphorical clay figures in a personal style influenced by the cartoon, will be unveiling his most recent and highly anticipated new works. Noah Deledda, known for his unique painting style, takes a creative spin on his latest work, in which he incorporates elements of drawing and realism into his paintings.
Meet the artists at the opening reception -6-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23 with live music outdoors by Sean Delong. Come and watch Shane Hoffman create live action paintings to be raffled off that evening, along with other great prizes and refreshments.
