Dear Nanny Fran,
Do you ever rehome animals if the owner is deceased?
Yes, I have rehomed sweethearts several times in 15 years of pet sitting. Ironically, just as you ask this question I have two absolutely beautiful, healthy and sweet kitties who need to find a new home.
|
| Princess rests on a chair. |
 |
| Leo sits nearby. |
Princess and Leo are indoor kitties who were and still are cherished companions of their deceased father, Jim and his dear friend Shirley. Jim crossed over and now Shirley is the full time caregiver for Princess and Leo. They are the sweetest babies. They have their claws and that is wonderful. God made kitties with claws and we shouldn't remove them. Both Leo and Princess are short-haired tabbies with the black and brown coloration. They appear to be twins; however, they were not adopted as twins. Shirley is looking for a new home for Princess and Leo as Jim's home will be rented or sold and these sweet children will need a new family to love them.
Shirley would like to find a new home for them that is quiet. Jim was a retired, disabled veteran and he had no family to take these kitties into their home. Shirley and her husband, also a disabled veteran, were Jim's only family and she has been visiting them twice daily for months now giving them love and proper care. A quiet home without children is ideal. Also, a home that will keep them as indoor kitties and will NOT even consider declawing them is the only home that will be considered.
