American Stage Theatre Company Holds Auditions For ALTAR BOYZ E-mail

American Stage Theatre Company, celebrating it’s 30th Anniversary as Tampa Bay's oldest and most award-winning professional theatre, is seeking Equity and Non-Equity actors for their upcoming production of ALTAR BOYZ, directed by Steven Flaa. Callbacks will be held on Monday, November 17 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

Production Dates:
First rehearsal: Tuesday, March 24
First Tech: Thursday, April 9
Previews: April 15 and 16
Opening Gala: Friday, April 17
Running Wednesday thru Sunday nights until Sunday, May 10

Roles to Cast (4 AEA, 1 non-AEA):
Five “Triple threats” - must sing, dance (pop) and act well, ages 17–30:
Matthew, the Leader
Mark, the Sensitive One
Luke, the Bad Boy
Juan, the Latin Lover
Abraham, the Gefilte Fish Out of Water
Equity salary is $357/wk. Non-AEA is $300/wk. Housing will be provided for out of town actors.

Callback Requirements
Actors should prepare a pop song of their choice, and expect to do a small movement combination. Actors must provide sheet music; an accompanist will be provided.

Callbacks will take place at American Stage, 211 3rd St. South, downtown St. Petersburg on Monday, November 17 from 2:00-4:00.  American Stage is a not-for-profit professional theatre founded in 1977. Its mission is to create the most satisfying live theatre in the Tampa Bay area. American Stage presents six plays on its 142-seat capacity Mainstage each year as well as the annual American Stage in the Park. The theatre’s other programming includes: a SchoolTour production and spring and a summer camps for children.
