The Pastel Society of Tampa Bay is presenting their 3rd annual juried show “Possibilities in Pastels” at Oldsmar City Hall Gallery, 100 State Street West.
Society members and nonmembers are exhibiting and selling diverse works, ranging from figures through landscapes and still lifes. Most of the renderings are done in a realistic style with recognizable subject matter, not tending toward abstraction.
This year’s show honors Brooke Allison who has educated both artists and our local community about the beauty and permanence of pastel as a serious art medium.
Awards for Excellence, Distinction, Merit and other recognitions have been presented to the show’s artists by internationally-known judge and juror Larry Moore whose artistic talents have fueled a successful award-winning career as an illustrator and painter. Moore has been honored by the Society of Illustrators with their prestigious Gold Award.
Works are displayed on 2 floors of Oldsmar City Hall now through Feb. 26, open to the public Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Parking and admission is free. For more information call (813) 749-1260.
