Home Improvement Loans Extended - watch video
Pinellas
County announces that interest-free home improvement loans will
continue until March 31. The program had been scheduled to end in
January but has been extended to March 31 to allow homeowners at or
below 50 percent of the area median income more time to apply. This is
being done in an effort to help homeowners of modest means during the
current difficult economic conditions. Call now to see if you quality.
“Families
with limited means, such as pension or retirement income, often have a
difficult time obtaining home improvement loans at an exceptional
interest rate such as this,” said Anthony M. Jones, Community
Development Director. “During this economic downturn it is important
that these owners have a chance to improve the safety and soundness of
their homes as well as their overall quality of life.”
Home
improvement loans may be used to replace a roof, upgrade windows,
improve kitchens or baths, upgrade electrical systems, bathrooms, and
much more.
Loan repayments will be deferred until sale, transfer, or
refinance of the property.
Loans can be up to $45,000. Properties may
be located anywhere in Pinellas County except within the city limits of
St. Petersburg, Clearwater or Largo.
Other eligibility criteria may
apply. Call to find out if you qualify.
Please remember that this offer ends March 31, 2009. For more information, call (727) 464-8210 or visit Pinellas County Community Development.
