WHAT:
The TradeWinds Island Resorts recently named Cricket Wagner as the new vice president of sales. In this position, Wagner is a member of the executive team and leads the group sales team along with the conference services and catering programs for both TradeWinds Island Resorts. Prior to joining the TradeWinds, Wagner developed an impressive resume including her most recent position as the director of sales & marketing at the Westin Harbor Island, formerly the Wyndham, in Tampa.
While at the Westin, Wagner guided the Harbor Island property to consistently outperform its sales competition. Prior to working for the Westin Harbor Island, Wagner was with the Marriott Corporation where she served as regional director of sales and was named Marriott’s “Sales Leader of the Year” in 2005. That same year her team was named Marriott’s “Sales Team of the Year” for the central region.
With Marriott, Wagner managed, directed, trained and developed 23 sales managers at the regional sales office in Miami. She and her team were in charge of booking groups for 55 Marriott Hotels from Orlando to The Florida Keys. Some of the more notable properties that Wagner had responsibility for include Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami, Renaissance Orlando Hotel at SeaWorld and the Renaissance Vinoy Resort in St. Petersburg. Other positions she has held include director of sales & marketing for Marriott International Hotels & Resorts at the Marriott Complex in Miami, director of sales & catering for the Sheraton Biscayne Bay in Miami and director of group sales and the director of catering & convention services for the Hilton in Parsippany, NJ.
