Safety Harbor Announces Fourth Annual Citizens’ Academy: May 19 E-mail

The City of Safety Harbor is now accepting applications for the Fourth Annual Safety Harbor Citizens’ Academy. Academy sessions are scheduled for Tuesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. and will begin on May 19 at City Hall. The Citizen’s Academy will run for 7 weeks and will be limited to 20 people. Academy members will be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis with preference given to Safety Harbor residents.

Academy participants will tour key facilities, learn about the challenges facing future developments, interact with city leaders, and learn about the essential functions of their municipal government.

Citizen Academy applications can be picked up at any city facility or downloaded from www.cityofsafetyharbor.com. Applications need to be completed and returned to the Safety Harbor Personnel Department, 750 Main Street, Safety Harbor, FL 34695 by April 24.
