PSTA to Hold Public Hearing about Program of Projects Capital Grant Application

What: Annual Program of Projects Capital Grant Application Public Hearing
When: Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.
Where: PSTA Headquarters, 3201 Scherer Drive, St. Petersburg
Why: To gather public input on the proposed capital grant application
The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) invites public input on the proposed capital assistance projects to be submitted by PSTA to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). PSTA will be requesting federal funding in the amount of $11,794,877 for these capital projects: preventative maintenance, contract security services and support equipment, passenger amenities, contingency and administration, and transit studies.
The proposal will be available at the hearing and with advance notice can be formatted for the hearing or visually impaired. If approved, the proposal becomes the final Program of Projects Fiscal Year 2009 grant application to the FTA.
