Michael Rusch Performs 2000th Show At Green Springs
Safety Harbor musician Michael Rusch titled his most recent CD of classic songs “Green Springs Bistro” in honor of the venue where he has performed since it opened six years ago. On Friday, Aug. 25, Rusch performed his 2000th show at the downtown Safety Harbor restaurant. He dedicated “Wish You Were Here,” one of the tracks from the CD, to his father, who died in 1994. On his liner notes he explains why: “While I was a young boy, my dad used to play his old records for me. My mom and I would listen and enjoy the style and wonder of all those great old tunes. Most of the songs that I remember him being most fond of are included here.” The CD and others by Rusch are available for sale at Green Springs Bistro, 156 Fourth Ave. N., Safety Harbor. He probably will be performing when you go.
