Events of interest to the community at large are welcomed for inclusion in the Tropical Breeze monthly events calendars.

Arts events, theater performances and gallery shows generally are included in the calendars in the Arts & LifeStyles section.

Rededication of Memorial Statues, 10:30 a.m., City of Clearwater and American Legion Post 7 rededicate two well-known public statues, “Spirit of the American Doughboy” and “Spirit of the American Navy,” which were originally dedicated on Armistice Day, Nov. 11, 1927 at the entrance of the Memorial Causeway Bridge. The statues were removed in 2002 to allow for construction of the new Memorial Bridge and restored by sculptor Frank Colson of Sarasota. Memorial Causeway Bridge, Clearwater. Call 727-562-4852.
