Paint Your Heart Out Safety Harbor Seeks Homes To Paint
The Paint Your Heart Out Safety Harbor
Committee (PYHO) needs help inobtaining the names of local homeowners
in need of house painting and lawn landscaping due to financial
hardships, physical limitations and/or other criteria.
If you know of someone in need of assistance
that can possibly be helped through the PYHO’s annual paint day
program, contact Karen Sammons at city hall at 724-1555 x406. Each year
the City of Safety Harbor, community volunteers, and area civic
organizations join with the PYHO Committee to paint and landscape for
people in need.
Besides a fresh coat of paint, homes are
pressure washed and some have screen, window and siding repairs, in
addition to flower beds and lawns being beautified and planted with new
flowers and mulch.
More than 90 homes have been beautified to
date, and each year homeowners have said they were overwhelmed when
they saw the results and experienced the generous community support.
