The Pinellas Education Foundation has created the Pinellas Free
Enterprise Hall of Honor as a permanent tribute to Pinellas County business
leaders who grew their businesses and built the community. Honored are
individuals who serve as examples to future entrepreneurs, the students who
visit Enterprise Village, Finance Park and Career Cove each day.
The 2005 Hall of Honor inductees were: Dr. Gus Stavros, Jack
Eckerd, Maurice Rothman, Eugene Danzey and Michael O’Brien.
Criteria for induction to the Pinellas Free Enterprise Hall of
Honor include:
• Honorees must
have been retired from their business for at least 5 years.
• Honorees should
be entrepreneurs who are principals in creating businesses that are established
and headquartered in Pinellas County.
• Honorees should
have exhibited high ethical standards in the pursuit of their business and
personal lives.
• Honorees should
have demonstrated a philanthropic spirit and service to the community.
To nominate an individual for induction into the 2006 Class of the
