Resolve To Save Pets’ Lives In 2007: SPCA Needs Volunteers For Hands-on Animal Care, Training
A new year presents new beginnings. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Tampa Bay seeks dedicated animal lovers to volunteer on behalf of its furry, four-legged residents. Adoption Counselor volunteers work “hands-on” with pets by exercising and training dogs, cats and rabbits. Dog handlers are required to participate in serious and intensive dog-training courses that focus on basic canine obedience.
Adoption Counselors also will assist potential adopters with pet selection. Other rewarding volunteer opportunities at the SPCA include in-office help, assistance with bulk mailings, fund-raising support, education assistance and special event coordination.
If you love animals, you’ll find the SPCA offers uniquely gratifying volunteer opportunities. Meet people with similar interests and work on behalf of homeless and abused animals.
And, if you’re looking to build your resume, you’ll gain practical experience by working with the SPCA’s award-winning team.
Junior Volunteers — ages 16-18 — are welcome too. To learn about this “win-win” volunteer prospect or to apply, go to www.SPCATampaBay.org or call 727-586-3591, ext. 127 for an interest form.
The SPCA Tampa Bay invites you to make your New Year’s Resolutions include volunteering on behalf of animals.
