Hannah Bartoletta Homes' Bay Breeze model
home - boasting an environmentally friendly green design - won
a prestigious AURORA Award during the recent 28th annual Southeast
Building Conference in Orlando.
The three-story Bay Breeze design was
honored as the best model home featuring green construction in the
conference&rsquos 12-state Southeast region. Located in the
community of MiraBay in southern Hillsborough County, the home has
been certified green by the Florida Green Building Coalition, and
has such features as tankless water heaters, zero-VOC paint,
low-flow plumbing fixtures and Florida Yards and
Neighborhoods-certified landscaping, among others.
Hannah Bartoletta Homes builds homes
throughout Hillsborough County and also is developing The Estuary
of Mobbly Bay in Oldsmar.
The AURORA Awards are presented to housing
industry professionals demonstrating building and design
excellence, said Charley Hannah, co-founder of the Tampa-based
firm. The awards program is affiliated with the National
Association of Home Builders and the Florida Home Builders
Association.
Priced at $1.8 million including homesite
and furnishings, the Bay Breeze has four bedrooms, three baths,
three half baths and separate one- and two-car garages. On the
first floor is the master suite with his-and-her walk-in closets
and a bath; an island kitchen with walk-in pantry; a guest suite
with private bath; and a family room with two sets of triple
sliding glass doors opening to an angular lanai and pool area.
On the second floor are two bedrooms, a
bath, sitting area and game room, also with two sets of triple
sliding glass doors opening to an L-shaped balcony. The top floor
features a loft with a powder room and sliding glass doors opening
to a private deck.

its Bay Breeze model, 734 Manns Harbor Drive, in the MiraBay
community&rsquos Angler&rsquos Cove neighborhood. Office
