Artists worldwide who enjoy creating fine
painting and sculpture in small scale are invited to enter one of
the nation’s pre-eminent international exhibitions of
contemporary miniature art. The annual show is sponsored by the
Clearwater-based Miniature Art Society of Florida, and next will be
held at the Gulf Coast Museum of Art, Largo.
The 33rd International Miniature Art Show
is scheduled for Jan. 20-Feb. 10, 2008. All artists are welcome,
and various mediums, including sculpture, scrimshaw and calligraphy
are acceptable. No crafts, photography or photographic techniques
are accepted. Projected awards total $20,000. Works are due October
12, 2007.

The 32nd International Show, held at the
Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, Tarpon Springs, in January, attracted
thousands of viewers and collectors who were amazed at the
jewel-like quality of the more than 900 artworks on display.
