Creative Contractors has begun
construction of the new Tarpon Springs Elementary School. Pinellas
County Schools selected Creative Contractors to build the new $23
million school located at the corner of Disston Ave. and Pine
Street in Tarpon Springs. The 110,000-sq. ft. school consists of
six buildings including classrooms, library,
cafeteria/multi-purpose room, art and skills laboratory, teacher
planning areas and administrative offices.
Tarpon Springs Elementary will be a
“green” (environmentally friendly) school seeking
official green building certification under the Leadership in
Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program of the U.S. Green
Building Council. The school is being designed and constructed to
be more water and energy efficient with a focus on using recycled
and locally manufactured materials. Additionally, substantial
amounts of construction waste will be recycled.
Green building is not new to Creative
Contractors. They completed the Dunedin Community Center last year
and are currently building Gulf Trace Elementary in Holiday, both
of which are LEED projects.
Founded in 1974 by CEO Alan C. Bomstein,
Creative Contractors Inc. is a leading commercial construction firm
headquartered in Clearwater, building throughout West Central
Florida.
