Safety Harbor City Commissioner James
McCormick announced Monday, Aug. 20 that his resignation will be
effective Saturday, Sept. 8. Applications are now being accepted by
the Safety Harbor City Clerk for those interested in an interim
appointment until the next city elections are held in March 2008.

Deadline for submitting an application will by 5 p.m. Wednesday,
Sept. 12 and interviews to select a new commissioner will begin
Sunday, Sept. 16.
McCormick resigned because he is moving out of the city to be
nearer to his employment in Pasco County.
