Creative Contractors Inc. of Clearwater
has signed a $14 million contract with the District School Board of
Pasco County to build Gulf Trace Elementary School. The 93,000 s.f.
school is located at 3303 Gulf Trace Blvd. off of U.S. Hwy. 19 in
Holiday.
The school is made up of seven buildings
that include classrooms, a library, art and music rooms, offices,
kitchen and a large multi-purpose cafeteria. Tilt-wall
construction, a technique whereby concrete slabs are poured on site
then lifted into place to form the exterior structure of the
building, is being used for its efficiency in both speed and price.
This is the first tilt-wall structure used for a Pasco County
school.
Similarly, Gulf Trace Elementary will be
Pasco County’s first “green” (environmentally
friendly) school. It will seek official green building
certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental
Design (LEED) program of the U.S. Green Building Council.
Founded in 1974 by CEO Alan C. Bomstein,
Creative Contractors Inc. is a leading commercial construction firm
building throughout West Central Florida.
