The Safety Harbor Public Library joins the
GFWC Junior Woman's Club and supporting sponsor The Safety Harbor
Resort & Spa in a "Tableu d'Art" Inaugural Event to raise
funds for the library building project.
Fundraiser attendees and donors alike will
enjoy an excellent "evening of the arts," with cameo happenings to
satisfy all of the senses, while dining on scrumptious hors
d'oeuvres, mingling with friends, listening to music, bidding on
donated collectibles and being entertained by the POSH (Players of
Safety Harbor) theater troupe. The event offers attendees the
opportunity to affect the lives of many with either a donation for
the auction or financial support which will go to Safety Harbor
Public Library Foundation, (a tax deductible (501(c)3)
organization).
Although some of the evening's
festivities and auction items will remain a secret until patrons
arrive at the Safety Harbor Resort & Spa on Thursday, Mar. 8 at
7 p.m., rumor has it that the auction items to be bid on by
fundraiser patrons will include signed novels by nationally
acclaimed authors Stephen King, Barbara Taylor Bradford, Lillian
Jackson Braun, Catherine Coulter and others, in addition to authors
and signature artists from throughout Pinellas.
Library Director Lana Bullian has even
contributed a favorite painting from her own family's collection
by a local artist, Kathy Fessenbecker, titled "Main Street," and
Friends of the Library have donated an impressive piece by gifted
artist Stephen Malkoff. Malkoff is an "architect by training but an
artist by commitment," known nationally for his appreciation of
trees and impressive scenic drawings, "which are portraits of
nature."
Invitations will soon be going out to
special VIP guests with tickets going on sale to the public in
February.
More details are to be available
