Folks in Central Florida have raved about
Crispers for more than16 years. Now, Safety Harbor is experiencing
the signature taste of Crispers' gourmet salads, soups and
sandwiches.
The first Crispers restaurant opened in
South Lakeland in 1989, and a second location opened in downtown
Lakeland in 1997. Unique, garden-fresh gourmet salads, hearty
sandwiches and delicious soups have won the restaurant many
friends.
The Crispers name comes from a piece of
restaurant equipment that keeps lettuce fresh and crisp, which kind
of sums up the company philosophy. Crispers believes in serving
interesting, delicious food, and in keeping everything fresh,
affordable and convenient.
The Crispers senior management team has
more than 40 years experience in upscale restaurant food service,
and everything it does is based on a few simple ideas: Fresh food
made from the highest quality ingredients; a family atmosphere that
develops long-term customers and team members.
A major alliance has been created with
Publix Super Markets. More than two years ago, Publix made a major
equity investment in the Crispers Restaurant concept. In 2005,
Publix increased its investment to majority ownership. This
important relationship has given Crispers the resources to bring
gourmet salads and sandwiches to more than 40 communities all over
Florida, and soon to expand into other states, as well.
Publix CEO Charlie Jenkins, Jr. said, "We
recognize the growth potential of Crispers and the fact that both
companies share similar values for the highest quality service and
products."
