Reader: Animals Given Priority Over Homeless |

To the Editor:
The scriptures instruct: Feed the
hungry, give drink to the thirsty and clothe the naked and shelter
the stranger. (Matthew 26:35-40)
So what do we do? We shun the
homeless and build animal shelters for dogs and cats and aquariums
to house Humphry The Humpback Whale, dolphins, manatees and turtles
in distress.
How many vacant buildings are in the
Tampa area that can be renovated to house our own species, yet just
sit empty until razed?
