Safety Harbor's newest hair salon is
called "Bella Haven," meaning "beautiful harbor" and named in honor
of its hometown, according to owner Debbie Eckerdt. "Bella" means
beautiful; "haven" means harbor: "beautiful harbor," she said.
"Safety Harbor is a town I have been
fortunate to work in for the last 10 years," said Eckerdt, who is
an Oldsmar resident. "This is where I'm needed and we all love
what we do! We offer personalized service and we listen."
The salon, which is located at 410 Main
Street (across from the Gazebo), offers personalized services in
hair, skin and massage.
Eckerdt has 22 years experience as a hair
stylist. Skin and facial specialist Kimberly has five years
experience. Beginning in April, the shop also offers the services
of James Peternell, a licensed massage therapist.
Peternell began his career aboard a
charter yacht in the Caribbean and sailed into Safety Harbor to be
near family. He specializes in deep tissue massage, neuromuscular
therapy and foot reflexology. Peternell also is a Reiki Master and
will be hosting a weekly Reiki Circle beginning this month. He may
