Safety Harbor Opens Enrollment For Second Annual Citizen's Academy E-mail

The City of Safety Harbor is now accepting applications for the Second Annual Safety Harbor Citizen's Academy. Academy sessions are scheduled for Tuesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. and will begin on Tuesday, May 22 at city hall. The Citizen's Academy will run for seven weeks and will be limited to 20 people. Academy members will be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis with preference given to Safety Harbor residents.

Academy participants will tour key facilities, learn about the challenges facing future developments, interact with city leaders and learn about the essential functions of their municipal government.

Citizen Academy applications can be picked up at any city facility and must be completed and returned to the Safety Harbor Personnel Department, 750 Main Street, Safety Harbor by Friday Apr. 27. For more information contact Brad Purdy, Public Information Officer at 727-724-1555.
