The City of Safety Harbor is now offering
streaming video of city commission meetings at
www.cityofsafetyharbor.com. This new service is intended to improve
government transparency by making commission meetings readily
available to residents, city staff and other interested parties,
the city announced.
"I think this new technology is a
fantastic way to open up our city government to a whole new
audience," said Safety Harbor Mayor Andy Steingold. "It just offers
our citizens another way to access their city government. Now if
someone is interested in a city commission meeting, they can attend
one, watch it on our city's cable television channel or view it
over the internet."
Commission meetings will be available
online the Wednesday following the regularly scheduled Monday night
meetings. For more information, contact Public Information Officer
Brad Purdy at 727-724-1555
