Marie Bishop and her husband Donald spent the end of May and early June in the United Kingdom, but “missed all the flooding,” she said with relief. Flooding was widespread throughout the U.K. in June and July with June one of the wettest months on record.
Marie posed with her Tropical Breeze at Chester, which is known as “England’s Walled City and Gateway to Wales.” It is located just southeast of Liverpool.
Marie is wearing a hat that she originally used while hiking in the mountains of Hawaii. “I lived there and then moved to St. Pete in the ’60s,” she said. “I traveled all over the world as a single mom.”
She and Donald were married five and a half years ago and are continuing to travel the world. “I’ve been to Europe several times,” she said. “We’re leaving next week (in August) for Atlanta and going to St. John’s, Newfoundland in September.”
